120-METRE AMELS SUPERYACHT SOLD

The team at Amels and Damen Yachting has signed a new build 120-metre Amels superyacht by Espen Øino. Imperial represented the Owner and will supervise construction throughout the build. When delivered in 2025, Project Signature will be not only the largest Amels but also the largest superyacht built to date in the Netherlands.

The Amels yacht is the builder’s third full custom project now on order. Rose Damen, Managing Director of Amels and Damen Yachting, says, “We’re extremely honoured to have been selected for this major 120-metre superyacht project. The yacht builds on our strong relationships with both Imperial and Espen Øino. We have an excellent team on this project, including our designers and engineers at our yard as well as our production department and of course the amazing pool of talented suppliers and subcontractors on our doorstep. Everyone involved is very excited and looking forward to delivering the very best yacht for the Owner.”

50 metres long and with a maximum beam of nine metres, M/Y “Fifty” was developed by the Riva Superyacht Division to offer an outstanding cruising experience defined by comfort, attention to detail and an evolved vision of life at sea: values that have made Riva a legendary name in international yachting for the last 179 years.

CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL 2023 REVEALED…

As has been the case every year for over 45 years, the Europe’s largest in-water show will be the first major international event of the season. Over 6 days, from 12 to 17 September, under the sunshine of the French Riviera, more than 650 boats of all sizes (from five to fifty metres) as well as the latest nautical equipment, numerous innovations and world previews will be unveiled for nearly 55,000 expected visitors: professionals, curious on-lookers, keen boaters or experienced enthusiasts. A major new feature of the 2023 event is the creation of an area afloat in the Vieux Port, which will accommodate smaller boats, from 8 meters upwards, in response to demand from numerous exhibitors.

JACQUES PIERREJEAN PRESENTS GIGAYACHT SULTAN 200M

With over forty years of experience under his belt, he and his Paris-based design firm have made their mark on the industry with the 2016 project YAS, a 141M beauty renowned for its unique use of space, light, and eco-friendly technologies. Following the success of that project, Mr. Pierrejean undertook an even larger scale ambition with LOU + LOU 180M.
